An extension menu is a menu of choices that extends the core curriculum for an individual or group of students. Students might work from an extension menu after proving mastery of a skill or concept through pre-assessment. For example, a student scoring at an advanced level on a spelling pre-test might continue to work on the same spelling lesson concept at a more sophisticated level, by completing assignments from the extension menu.
