The Supporting Teacher Effectiveness Project (STEP) is a teacher-driven community of practice that uses a Positive Deviance approach for discovering on-site solutions to on-site problems. STEP values the expertise of the members within each school community by guiding the teams through a data-driven process whereby they identify a problem of practice, discover potential promising practices that address their area of focus, confirm the effectiveness of the practices, and create a systematic plan for sharing
