Records Management Office is not open to the public for walk-in service. All record requests must be submitted via mail.

The Long Beach Unified School District Records Management Office is responsible for the permanent archiving of student cumulative records of former LBUSD students. Cumulative records are maintained for students who attended LBUSD schools from the early 1900s to present. Records for each LBUSD school the student attended may include a listing of classes completed, grades, test scores, immunization records, and graduation status.

High school student records are generally maintained at the last school of attendance for approximately a year from the date of graduation or withdrawal after which they are sent to Records Management Office. If the student recently graduated or withdrew from the district please request transcripts from last school of attendance.

Students currently attending Long Beach Unified School District, request records from school of attendance.

The Records Management Office maintains records for all students that have attended LBUSD public schools. Records for private and non-public schools geographically located within LBUSD boundaries are not maintained by the Records Management Office. Request for such records must be directed to the private or non-public school.

Request for official transcripts must be submitted via mail to the Records Management Office.

The cost of transcripts is $12.00.

Effective August 1, 2014 the cost of transcripts will increase from $5.00 to $12.00. All requests received by the Records Management Office prior to August 1, 2014 will remain $5.00 per transcript.

Our office does not offer walk-in, in-person or same day service.

Please, allow 10 business days to process High School Transcripts from the date your request is received by the Records Management Office. Elementary Transcripts and Immunization Records processing time is 6-8 weeks. In addition, please allow 5-7 days for U.S. Postal delivery. Requests are processed on a first-come first-served basis.

The LBUSD does not issue duplicate diplomas with the exception of the Long Beach School for Adults.

Education verifications are not released over the phone. For proof of graduation please order a transcript.

Student transcript requests are processed and delivered via US mail.
