Emerson Parkside Academy will receive a site visit next week to determine if they will win the Eureka Award for Performance Excellence, the state version of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
If Emerson wins the prestigious award, it will become the first charter school in California to earn the high honor.
The visitation will take place Wednesday, October 12 and Thursday, October 13. Four visitors from the California Council for Excellence will meet with staff and review the school’s application.
"This truly is a significant honor to receive this visitation," said Cynthia Young, Emerson director. "Every single employee on this campus has contributed to the success of our students and this school."
