Jordan High School held its annual Best Buddies “Art for Inclusion” Art Show recently at the Museum of Latin Amercan Art, raising funds while showcasing the work of students who have moderate to severe disabilities.
“I love having the opportunity to showcase the students’ talents and their emotions and feelings,” said teacher Anne Boyer. “I can’t even describe in words what it’s like to see their faces when they know that their art is up on the wall. They are so proud.”
Best Buddies promotes one-on-one friendships, pairing students who have disabilities with those who don’t.
