The Long Beach Unified School District has partnered with the City Prosecutor’s Office and the Safe Long Beach, Safe Schools Workgroup on a campaign to help improve school attendance. “All In” is a year-long, districtwide attendance campaign to help K-12 schools achieve attendance targets. The aim is to engage parents, students, school staff and community members to increase attendance rates, high school graduation rates and safety in and around schools. While the school district already has a high attendance rate of about 96 percent, the program will initially serve four schools that are situated in some of the most vulnerable communities in Long Beach. The four pilot schools are Addams, Franklin, Jefferson and Washington.
