Career, College Night is Nov. 5

The 43rd Annual Career/College Exploration Night will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Walter Pyramid on the Cal State Long Beach campus. The college and career planning event, held in partnership with CSULB and the Port of Long Beach, is expected to attract more than 4,000 local high school students and their parents.

Representatives from more than 150 higher education, apprenticeship, military and nonprofit organizations will be available to discuss college interests and career dreams. University of California, California State University, private and community colleges will be represented.

“This truly is a terrific opportunity for our district’s students and their parents to get a great idea, and a lot of information, about the variety of college and career opportunities available to them after high school,” said Christopher Clifton, the Long Beach Unified School District’s career education support services manager.

Free parking near the Pyramid will be available in lots 13 and 14 at Atherton Street and Merriam Way.
