Names in the News

The 30th annual Norman Gottlieb Youth Art Show for local middle and high school students was held recently at the Alpert Jewish Community Center. Middle school winners were: first place, Tiana Prince, Marshall; second, Emanuel Mitai, Hoover; third, Katelyn Lawson, Marshall; and honorable mentions to Maria Martinez of Jefferson, Kava Sloan of Marshall, Jorgen Denger of Bancroft, Marian Turner of Stanford, and Setha Oeurn of Hughes. High school winners were: first place, Stormy Morrell, Millikan; second, Demi Reed, Lakewood; third, Rachel Ogata, Poly; and honorable mentions to Cathleen Mason of McBride, Celeste Bautista of Cabrillo, Ava Kvapil of Wilson, Kailey Reade of Poly, and Amber Arzaga of Renaissance.

FIRST PLACE – Marshall Academy of the Arts eighth grader Tiana Prince earned first place in the middle school category at the 30th annual Norman Gottlieb Youth Art Show at the Alpert Jewish Community Center, where more than 350 people attended.
