Volunteers Sought for Bond Oversight

The Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education is looking for two qualified individuals to serve on the Measure K Citizens' Oversight Committee for a two-year term beginning in June.

The oversight committee is made up seven individuals appointed by the school board. As an independent committee, the group is charged with informing the public about Measure K school construction and renovation projects, reviewing Measure K expenditures, and developing an annual report to the Board of Education on the progress of projects.

Applications are due 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 12.
