Lions Club Helps Beautify Hamilton

Joined by city and school district officials, the Downtown Lions Club of Long Beach broke ground recently on a landscape beautification project at Hamilton Middle School in North Long Beach.

The Lions project, funded through a matching grant from the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency, redesigns and improves the landscaping in front of the school.  The project includes the participation of students and teachers decorating stepping stones, along with parents, Lions volunteers and local residents who are digging, painting and building benches and planters.

The Downtown Lions Club celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.
