Translation / Interpretation Unit

The OCIPD Translation Unit is available to translate written documents or provide an interpreter for oral translations.

Please submit request to Translations@lbschools.net at least 2 weeks in advance. If you do not have Spanish- or Khmer- speaking staff that can interpret (oral) at your site, please email your request for an Interpreter/Translator to translations@lbschools.net.

Written Translations

Please provide us with the following information for WRITTEN TRANSLATIONS:

  1. Name of Requester
  2. Phone
  3. Site
  4. Language
  5. Type of Translation (example: Announcement, Document, Procedures, Assessment, etc.)
    • Number of Pages
  6. Due Date
  7. Attach WORD document to E-mail
  8. Any special instructions

    NOTE: Written IEP translations are to be scheduled through OSSS.

Oral Translations

Please provide us with the following information for ORAL INTERPRETATIONS:

  1. Name of Requester
  2. Phone
  3. Site
  4. Language
  5. Type of Oral Interpretation (example: IEP, parent translation through phone call, Parent/Teacher Conference, Assessments, Parent Workshops – Need Topics,  Site Meetings – Need Topics
  6. Name of Parent
  7. Name of Student and grade level
  8. Scheduled Date
  9. Scheduled Time (Start and End Times)
  10. Site where meeting will take place and address
  11. Any special instructions (example: Need Headsets, Bring Assessment Testing Materials etc.)

 

Please Note:  Requests are taken on a first come first serve basis.  Once your request is SCHEDULED you will receive a confirmation by email or a phone call from the interpreter or office staff.   If we are not able to accommodate your request you will be contacted as soon as possible so that you can make other arrangements.
