LBS Financial Credit Union focuses its community efforts on education and provides scholarships to students of Long Beach Unified every year. This year marked their first annual Adopt-a-School Program and Stephens Middle School was the first school selected with the support of the Long Beach Education Foundation.
During the months of June, July and August, the Credit Union promoted the Adopt-a-School Program to its Members and shared Stephens Middle School's wish list at every branch and on their website.
Members donated supplies throughout the summer. The Credit Union plans to select a different school in Long Beach Unified every year going forward to provide a school supply donation.
